This editted movie shows the silk using predation behavior of juvenile spider Agelena limbata.
First cut: An ant Lasius japonicus was dropped on the web as prey. The spider started rushing ca. 0.3 sec after, then passed it, and wrapped it with its silk by going round it.
Second cut: After some rounds, the spider probed the prey with its legs at some intervals. If the prey still moved, the spider resumed wrapping.
Third cut: If the prey stopped moving, the spider bit on it. It probably injected poison. It took ca. 7 min. from the beginning of wrapping to bite.
The spider usually bring the prey back to the tunnel part of web after these processes. However, a large ant (Camponotus japonicus?) stole the wrapped prey by breaking the web from the back side in this case.
